Praise Team (Vocal)
Reading music is not required, but you should be able to learn parts by ear and harmonize when necessary. You must have a love of music and be willing to work hard. Rehearsal attendance is required and you must be willing to practice outside of church as well to be prepared for Thursday rehearsals.
Band (Instrumental)
If you are an instrumentalist, you must demonstrate adequate proficiency with your instrument. Rehearsal attendance is required and you must be willing to practice outside of church as well to be prepared for Thursday rehearsals.
Rehearsal Schedule: Thursday nights from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. (before service).

Actors, Costume Designers, Writers and Directors
This ministry helps people connect with God on a deeper level through expressive gifts of acting, writing and directing. Amateur and seasoned actors are used - no experience is required. You must be willing to receive direction and not be afraid to act silly or serious. At GCC, there are two categories of drama: Sunday morning mini-dramas which bring focus to the message of the day; and seasonal dramas which bring focus to a particular holiday and are used primarily as outreach events for our church.
Rehearsal schedules vary. Scripts are given out at least 3 weeks before rehearsals begin for a Sunday morning mini-drama. There can be 3-4 rehearsals and a final run-through on Sunday morning. Actors are expected to learn their lines and be prepared for all rehearsals. Dependability is a must.
Participation in a seasonal drama takes more time and commitment in a very short period of time. As with the mini-dramas, actors are expected to learn their lines and prepare for all rehearsals. Dependability is a must.
There is always a need for people with sewing, make-up and/or writing skills in this area as well.

We welcome the use of dance in our worship services.
Participants must have had adequate experience in their particular dance style and be able to choreograph to the music being used. The Programming Director often chooses the music. All costumes or clothing used must be previewed before the performance.
Rehearsals: Dancers are to rehearse on their own. When a group dance is required there may be additional rehearsals prior to Sunday.

Our Production Team uses the technical arts and works largely behind the scenes to put on our weekend service and other ministry events. This service opportunity allows people to work in the areas of lighting, sound, multi-media, special effects, moving props, building sets, etc. This team also provides technical support for other events and productions throughout the year.
