The Old Testament sacrificial offerings (Leviticus 1-7) gives New Testament Christians’s a powerful framework for sanctification. Upon receiving the Holy Spirit, we will become aware of the sins that we have done unintentionally, or through ignorance. As these are revealed, repentance is required because the sacrifice has already been made. It just requires us to own it and place our hands on it as they did under the old covenant. Ownership is required.
